A quick review and critique of a small exhibition curated by one of my senior tutors
at Huddersfield University Dr Liam Devlin.
The show also features work by two of our other lectures and other artists

That should save me the bother of writing info which is available on line
Interesting exhibition, very varied a mixture of Photography and moving images
and also a dance troupe performed at the opening
The dance troupe in front of some of the Artworks
Contemporary dance does not do it for me (It always reminds me of “Legz Akimbo” from the BBC’s The league of gentlemen ) but if you are interested in that sort of thing they will be doing a workshop on Thursday 27 April 2-5pm
and performing on the final day of the exhibition 4th may .
A good turn out and some interesting work a few photos below from the event
taken before the crowds came to the opening
and when the people flooded in here’s Dr Devlin entertaining the masses
The Masses 😉
I could go on about my views of the work but as art is always subjective….
my advice really is to go see it for yourself
Huddersfield s art gallery contains some brilliant art works and is housed in a fantastic art deco building worth seeing in it’s own right
one of a pair of James Woodford statues outside Huddersfield Library and Art gallery
a little self indulgence
me doing a Vivian Maier in front of a wonderful painting by John Atkinson Grimshaw
in the Gallery at Huddersfield
and a final image of mine ……alpha and Omega
